Women and Gender Studies
for High School

The Course

This course explores the meaning of gender and its role throughout history and its impact on modern society. The primary goal of this course is to engage students with key issues, questions,  debates, and policies regarding women and gender. This course will survey the impact of women throughout history, as well as analyze texts written by diverse voices. This course is not a course of answers but rather a course of questions. Questioning the status quo. Questioning how and why society is structured the way it is. Questioning the impact of the patriarchy and questioning what we can do to change it.
